  • Yoga for Peace Day Fundraiser on Saturday

Thu, September 19, 2013 by Jen Mulson with no comments

Here’s the question: Do you have 108 sun salutations in you – all in the name of greater peace and harmony?

At the Yoga for Peace Day Fundraiser on Saturday, you can do 108 or 1, it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you show up and help raise money for Manitou Springs in the wake of the floods.

The suggested donation is $1 per salutation. You choose which organization gets your dollars: Manitou Emergency and Recovery Fund or Manitou Strong and Beautiful.

Manitou Bindu, Yogafied, Manitou Yoga School and Yoga Teachers of Colorado Springs are behind the event, and local musician Spiritwell will play.

    Time: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21

Where: Business of Art Center, 513 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs

    Contact: 439-6487, yogafied@ymail.com

Davis just re-joined the cast of “Chicago,” playing Roxie Hart, everybody’s favorite murderess. The show comes to the Pikes Peak Center Sept. 17-18; pikespeakcenter.com.
