Here’s a link to Dave Christensen’s press conference after the AFA-Wyoming game.

…and still no apology to Troy Calhoun, Connor Dietz and the AF team after questioning their “ethics”. Given the seriousness and focus on head injuries this season, the AF coaching staff did the right thing and used caution when working with Dietz. Looks like sour grapes to me and Wyoming had ample opportunities to close out the game with a win.

  3. I cant believe the president of Wyoming University has not stepped in.
He did the right thing, apologized, but to who?
    No AF?
I cant believe that good institution puts up with that pathetic example.
    Talk about ethics?

I agree with the comments. Nice non-apology.

So, Coach Christianson, please accept my apology for forgetting my sister’s birthday last year.

Oh, you mean it would have meant more had the apology been directed to my sister? Hey, I apologized, what more do you want?

PurpleMartin, my exact reaction: the apology that is not an apology. Not one word about questioning the ethics of Dietz and Calhoun, nor were any of his words directed to AF.

According to press reports, Christensen directed his players to leave the field without shaking hands with AF players…then went off on his profanity-laced rant.

    What a sportsman!

The AFA football program has experienced the same decline in ethics/morality as has the Academy as a whole…..sad.

    Disagreed

#31: you are so wrong…ethics and morality over a football game? Even if Dietz did what he’s accused of, it’s a ******* GAME, not real life.

The fact that Coach Christianson has not personally apologized to Coach Calhoun, Conner Dietz and the entire AFA Football team for his attack on their character shows his lack of class and integrity., He has none, until he man’s up and does the right thing. He can’t ask his team to do anything he asks of them modling his lack of class

  10. Does anyone find it terribly ironic that the Wyo team was wearing the copycat “honor”, “integrity”, etc game jerseys while conducting themselves the way they did at the games end? Doing the right thing means doing the right thing when you don’t want to, even when you lose. Then the follow up comments about integrity and ethics. Ha, such hypocrisy.

Disingenuous at best coach. Nice try but you fumbled the attempt at damage control too!

Can’t wait to see you in OUR HOUSE next year with that backup QB who stuffed you on a bootleg!

  12. wow….saw the unedited version of the conversation postgame….F-bomb about 15 times….wow

Ramsey, great article today. I am getting so TIRED of Calhoun’s acting like he’s playing a Top 10 team every weekend. New Mexico is still New Mexico, if we don’t win it’s because of coaching.
