While driving to the game today, I heard Air Force radio play-by-play man Jim Arthur say, “It’s always a good time when Air Force and CSU get together.”
Hate to disagree, Jim, but it hasn’t been a good time for awhile. Air Force has defeated CSU six straight times, with the average margin of victory in the past five games at 21.8 points.
Is CSU – finally – ready to deliver a genuine challenge to the Falcons?

Clearly Jim is a glass half full kind a guy!
And the stadium looked about half full as well. If we can’t fill the stadium against an in-state rival, albeit one struggling to be competitive, what’s going to happen when another out-of-state, non-service academy, non-big-name school comes to town? Does anyone else hear the sound of crickets?
Attendance was listed as: 38,562 and max capacity is 46,692. Clearly, you are a class half empty kind of person, Chris.
The answer to your question, Dave, is “No.”
No Jeanelle, I’m a grad that lives in Chicago that would just about give my left arm to be able to be a season ticket holder. Not sure how big a sports fan you are (and I don’t mean that to be condescending), but the announced attendance rarely, if ever, matches the real number of rear ends in seats. They always inflate that number. I’m guessing there were about 30k at Falcon Stadium yesterday. That’s not glass half empty, that’s simply reality.
