Had some follow-up questions from folks on my story of Air Force future football scheduling, including @fbschedules on Twitter, who runs a comprehensive scheduling website. So I asked Air Force senior associate athletic director Jim Trego and got some answers:
- Air Force’s game at Falcon Stadium vs. Notre Dame will be Oct. 26, 2013, not in late September as indicated in the story.
- There is no BYU nonconference series planned in the near future.
- Air Force had agreed to a series with Cincinnati, but Trego said Cincinnati approached him about canceling and “that is probably the direction we will go.” Paperwork hasn’t been worked out to end that series yet, however.

AFA needs to play where the people are, in the Northeast.
Maybe UConn. BC, now Umass at Gillette Stadium where the Patriots play, Rutgers, Syracuse. Tough to schedule but worth the effort.
I like UMass as the best chance but I live in Boston and have 4 AFA season tickets-maybe see two-Navy yes-home games- and will do at Michigan, at UNLV and at Army.
AFA may need to TV some of their own games for the internet as there seems little national interest in CSU, Wyoming and New Mexico-not many viewers in these areas to show ads to. AFA vs. CSU on Thursday nights a while ago was quite popular.
As a long time AFA season ticket hjolder I’m glad the series with Oklahoma State was dropped as I don’t, think the falcons would be competitive with the Cowboys in most seasons.
As for Cincy, I think the Falcons would be competitive with the Bearcats, but I don’t think that team would draw well in the Springs in a home and home contract. I’m fine if that series is dropped as well.
