I like the idea but feel it could be more dynamic somehow. The thought of the future not being football but serving in the active duty (and as the name implies ‘fly’ or support that misson on the ground, in the air or in space (I think I covered it all)) compared right next to the active duty being comprised of officers, many of which played AF football at USAFA learning leadership skills both on and off the gridiron, is kinda cool.

Non PC assessment, it is s_ _ t hot in depicting the ultimate mission of the USAF to fly and fight.

New helmet design this season? New uniforms in general, not just Army and Navy games? Nike on the Ramparts? AFA joining the Oregon – Nike, Maryland- Under Armor uniform derby?
Why not? Does AFA have a uniform sponsor?
Not in love with the 2011 Navy game special gray uniform. Regular home blue would have been better.
On the whole, it gets one’s attention, as desired.

I think we’ve upgraded our marketing department. Very creative, thematically consistent, dramatic colors and contrasts. This is a hell of a recruiting poster, too.

I have been with the The Gazette since 2006 and began covering Air Force athletics in the fall of 2012. While with The Gazette I've jumped from layout & design to covering the Sky Sox to spending several years overseeing our high school sports coverage. I've written for newspapers at the University of Kansas, St. Joseph, Mo., and Maui. (By the way, one of those things is not like the other) At home, my wife, Jennifer, and I have three young daughters, ranging in age from 3 1/2 to 8 months. As you might imagine, sleep is scarce, so please forgive a typo or two. Follow me on twitter @BrentBriggeman
