Reynolds wanted Fitzgerald to take last shot

Just talked with Air Force coach Jeff Reynolds. He confirmed he wanted Mike Fitzgerald to take the final shot, but Fitzgerald was unable to break free.

Instead, Todd Fletcher took – and missed – a 3-pointer that would have tied the game and gave the Falcons a chance to win in overtime.

    AFA basketball is terrible…again

  2. TCU is not as bad as they’ve been in previous years, but this is one that AF should have won. I know the offense is designed to be deliberate, but the sense of urgency from this group in the game’s critical moments was sorely lacking. I found myself yelling at the TV, telling them to move faster. Just one example . . . there was plenty of time for that final shot to be something other than a desperation 3, which is what it turned out to be.

Nothing wrong with Fletcher taking the shot. As pure a shooter as we have. Todd has stepped up and become the leader of this team.

  4. This is flat out JR style”snail ball”…nothing you can do, nothing you can say with change this nut! He believes in his last second runout the 35 second clock snail pace. He is taking the ballgame out of the hands of the talent that is on this team. This guy will never change. As long as JR is the Head Coach of SNAILBALL MANIA, this team will sputter along. Its NOT THE ECONOMY…ITS JR, stupid!
