Air Force senior Jacques Lamoureux signed an amateur tryout agreement with the ECHL’s Alaska Aces and will play two games against the Victoria Salmon Kings Thursday and Friday before heading back to the academy, the Anchorage Daily News reported.
“It’s a little snapshot for him,” Aces coach Brent Thompson said. “It’s just a chance for him to see what the pro game’s all about.”
Thompson said Lamoureux’s gear did not arrive in Victoria, so he’ll borrow equipment from other players for Thursday’s road game.
He is the first Falcon to play in a pro game since Greg Flynn during the 2009-10 American Hockey League season.

Does Jacques not have to serve in the Air Force for a few years?
He does.
He can play two games as long as it does not conflict with his AF duties, which is the case here. Greg Flynn played a dozen games for Lowell of the AHL in the 2009-10 season because they were located near his base.
