You do get the feeling that thie Air Force team won’t be tight in the fourth quarter against Navy. The Falcons need to make those plays that have eluded them in previous meetings.

Navy news: Starting right tackle Matt Molloy will return to the lineup this week. … Navy coaches went with their players to class last week, when the team was on a bye.

Around the Mountain West/service academies: BYU’s offense hasn’t gotten off to this bad of a start in 35 years. … After finally getting a win, Colorado State has to play TCU. … Wyoming hopes to get back on track against Toledo. … Things aren’t good in New Mexico. … George Blanda had a connection to Army.

  1. Frank, No response from you on my suggestion for an article on the AFA JV football team. I still think it would be a great article and I am sure the parents and friends of these fine young men would appreciate it. GO FALCONS!

Joe, sorry about that. Might make it down to a JV game at some point, prep school too. But, as you can probably imagine, I spend a lot of time working each week to cover the varsity team, so I’ll have to see about my schedule.
