That’s a pretty tough 4-week stretch early on–BYU, OK, Navy. We’ll have a good idea how the season stands after those games.

I love front loading our schedule. During most of the DeBerry years, I always thought we were much sharper at the begining of the year relative to competition. We had a lot of Jr’s and Sr’s starting. Our Offense was simple and we executed at mid season level right out fo the gun. Cadets weren’t beat down from school and military. Early school start puts team in very disciplined practice mode.

However, Calhoun has tended to start slow, and improve more as the season goes on, primarily due to figuring out how to use his players.
