I have been with the The Gazette since 2006 and began covering Air Force athletics in the fall of 2012. While with The Gazette I've jumped from layout & design to covering the Sky Sox to spending several years overseeing our high school sports coverage. Yes, Walker did leave the team after the Falcons’ series with San Diego State.
I don’t understand why nothing has been done by the athletic dept.. They know about the the complaints of manhandling by this coach and aggressiveness towards players not tolerated by other NCAA isports programs. You don’t see him representing the Academy overseas? Graduation is over, fire him. Is there ONE player that will come forward and say anything good about him or his coaching, NO.
Are there hundreds of players and alumni that will tell you he is an embarassment, YES.
