Through one half at Clune Arena, it’s the same old story for Air Force.
The Falcons struggled to make shots, hitting just 6-of-19 from the floor, including 3-of-11 from 3-point range, and went to halftime trailing UNLV, 29-19.
Air Force, which is winless in Mountain West Conference play, is attempting to snap a seven-game losing streak.
The Falcons scored just five points in the first eight minutes but seemed poised to break out of their shooting slump when senior Matt Holland hit 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions to give Air Force a 13-12 lead. But UNLV responded with an 8-0 run to re-gain control.
